Design and Implement a sensible eating
plan. If your
self-monitoring records show that your existing
eating habits follow our healthy eating guidelines and provide about
the right amount of energy to maintain your ideal weight, then congratulate
yourself for having this part of your healthy lifestyle in place. If
you still want to lose some weight, go ahead with the other steps. Most people, however, especially most overweight people, will find their eating habits need to change. You may need to make some changes to your choice and preparation of food, to follow our healthy eating guidelines. You may well need to reduce the total amount you eat each day, so that your daily energy intake is what you need to maintain your ideal weight. Either way, if you have not already made your personal healthy eating plan, now is a good time to plan it and do it. If you expect to find it difficult to stick to, give yourself some motivational assistance with a contract.
