Nutty Turkey Salad Pitas

Ingredients

3 ounces diced cooked turkey
¼ cup diced celery
2 tbsp each golden raisins and sour cream
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp reduced-calorie mayonnaise
1 tsp each freshly squeezed lemon juice and pickle relish
Dash each salt and white pepper
2 pitas (1 ounce each), cut in half horizontally
¼ ounce unsalted roasted shelled almonds, chopped
¼ cup alfalfa sprouts

Method

  • In small mixing bowl combine all ingredients except pits, almonds and alfalfa sprouts; mix well until thoroughly combined.

  • Onto bottom half of each pita spread half of the turkey mixture, then top each with half of the almonds and alfalfa sprouts.

  • Set top half of each pita over sprouts; cut each pita in half crosswise.

  • MAKES 2 SERVINGS.
