Dumplings

Ingredients

1/2 cup water

2 eggs

2 tbsp margarine

2/3 cup sifted whole grain pastry flour

1/4 tsp vegetized salt


Method

  • Bring water, vegetized salt, and margarine to boil.

  • Add the flour all at once, and stir over the fire until the mixture does not stick to the sides of the pan and is perfectly smooth.

  • Remove from fire; break in one whole egg and stir with the spoon until the egg is completely absorbed and the paste is smooth and thick.

  • Add the other egg in same manner.

  • Drop from moist spoon into boiling liquid.
