Strawberry-Banana Whip

This dessert takes only a few short minutes to prepare but will need about 1 1/2 hours to chill. We suggest you prepare it in the evening and refrigerate it overnight.

 

Ingredients


1 envelope (four 1/2-cup servings) low-calorie strawberry-banana-flavored gelatin (8 calories per 1/2 cup)

3/4 cup boiling water

1 cup ice cubes

1/2 medium banana (about 3 ounces), peeled

1/2 cup each plain low-fat yogurt and strawberries, cut into halves


Method

  • In medium heatproof bowl sprinkle gelatin over boiling water and stir until dissolved; stir in ice cubes.

  • Transfer to blender container; add banana and yogurt and process on low speed until pureed.

  • Into each of four 6-ounce dessert glasses pour 1/4 of banana mixture.

  • Cover and refrigerate until set, about 1 1/2 hours.

  • To serve, top each portion with 1/4 of the berries.

  • By low, products labeled 'low-calorie' must contain 40 calories or less per serving.
