Quick Apple Tart

This easy-to-make tart is at its very best when eaten warm from the oven.

 

Ingredients


1 small Golden Delicious apple (about 1/4 pound), cored, pared, and thinly sliced

2 tsp lemon juice

1 ready-to-bake refrigerated buttermilk flaky biscuit (1 ounce)

1 tsp confectioners' sugar, sifted, divided

Dash each ground nutmeg and ground cinnamon


Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 degree F.

  • In small mixing bowl combine apple slices and lemon juice and turn to coat; set aside.

  • On nonstick cookie sheet roll biscuit into a circle about 6 inches in diameter; using the tines of a fork, prick surface of biscuit.

  • Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp sugar and the spices.

  • Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.

  • Let cool slightly; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 tsp sugar and serve.
