This easy-to-make tart is at its very
best when eaten warm from the oven.
Ingredients
1 small Golden Delicious apple (about 1/4 pound), cored, pared, and
thinly sliced
2 tsp lemon juice
1 ready-to-bake refrigerated buttermilk
flaky biscuit (1 ounce)
1 tsp confectioners' sugar, sifted,
divided
Dash each ground nutmeg and ground
cinnamon
Method
Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
In small mixing bowl combine apple slices
and lemon juice and turn to coat; set aside.
On nonstick cookie sheet roll biscuit
into a circle about 6 inches in diameter; using the tines of a fork,
prick surface of biscuit.
Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp sugar and the
spices.
Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.
Let cool slightly; sprinkle with
remaining 1/2 tsp sugar and serve.
