Chocolate-Mint Sauce

Serve warm or chilled. This sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

 

Ingredients


1/2 cup evaporated skimmed milk

1 tsp cornstarch

1 1/2 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

2 tsp margarine

1/2 tsp peppermint extract


Method

  • In small microwavable mixing bowl combine milk and cornstarch and stir to dissolve cornstarch.

  • Microwave on High (100%) for 1 minute.

  • Add chocolate and margarine and microwave on High for 1 minute, until chocolate is melted and mixture thickens, stirring every 30 seconds.

  • Stir in extract.

  • Transfer to jar with tight-fitting cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
