Chocolate Chip Meringue Bites

Ingredients


2 large egg whites

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup mini semisweet or milk chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 200 degree.

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  • In medium mixing bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar with electric mixer until foamy.

  • Slowly add sugar.

  • Continue beating at high speed until stiff peaks form.

  • Use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to fold the chocolate chips into the meringue.

  • Drop meringue by tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper.

  • Bake 1 1/2 hours.

  • Remove from oven.

  • Cool before removing from parchment paper.

  • Store in airtight container.

  • Make 4 servings.
