Chives

Chives has always been one of my favourite herbs, either in salad, an omelet, or added at the last moment to sauces or vegetable soup. Rather than chopping chives with a knife, use kitchen scissors and cut the herb into small pieces.

 

Alone or blended for soups and salads; in omelets and eggs of any kind; mix with cottage cheese; for stews or roasts or chopped as garnishing for meat; with mushrooms, tomatoes. Has a light onion-like flavor.
