A spice that tastes like several spices - cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. It is popular in puddings, but can also be sued in vegetable dishes, e.g. spinach, or even in meat dishes, e.g. pork.
It is also popular in fruit compote, baked bananas, all cranberry dishes; in puddings, cakes, relishes, frostings, jellies, sweet sauce, molasses cookies; beets, squash, turnips, red cabbages; green pea soup; meat load, beef stew, boiled dish; tapioca pudding, carob pudding.
